Things to expect
- If a biopsy was performed, coughing up secretions with a blood tinge is normal for the first post-operative day.
- Pain is usually mild and can be controlled with Motrin or Tylenol.
What to do
- It is okay to resume your usual pre-operative diet on the day of surgery.
- Resume your usual daily activities the day after surgery.
- Call Dr. York's clinic to make post operative appointment for one week after surgery.
- No special wound care is needed.
- No strenuous physical activity for 3 days.

- Heavy bleeding
- Fever > 101.5 F
- Difficulty breathing
