Things to expect

• If a biopsy was performed, coughing up secretions with a blood tinge is normal for the first post-operative day.
• Pain is usually mild and can be controlled with Motrin or Tylenol.

What to do

1. It is okay to resume your usual pre-operative diet on the day of surgery.
2. Resume your usual daily activities the day after surgery.
3. Call Dr. York's clinic to make post operative appointment for one week after surgery.
4. No special wound care is needed.
5. No strenuous physical activity for 3 days.
